After an early breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel to start an exciting adventure in the Andes. Our driver and guide will take you to
the belvedere of Chonta, located in the Apurimac Canyon in the district of Limatambo.
You will get in touch with the Andean spiritual messenger, the Condor, considered a sacred bird for our ancestors, feeling the emotion of its majestic flight. In the Andean mythology, this bird transports energy from the Apus (or angels from the mountain range) that brings blessings from the Gods.
En route, you will visit the Archaeological Complex of Killarumiyoc, built in honour of the Moon, the mother of the firmament, the female strength of the universe in the Gods’ world that blesses our ground and our lives.
You will proceed then to Tarawasi ceremonial center, a place for rest and meditation. It was a very important economic center, where the “trueque” or exchange of products as potato, quinoa, cereals and goods from the coast took place. It was also a checkpoint to the Chinchaysuyo, the north part of the Inca Empire. The famous Apu Salkantay (6270 masl/20570ft) can be seen as well as the Apurimac River.
