The authentic experience takes place in the Huatata district of Chinchero where Manuel Choqque grows around 350 types of tubers,from bluish-black and golden varieties to beet-colored,which makes it the ideal place to show the diversity of the tuber.
The tour combines a visit to the potato fields in the storied Sacred Valley, a tasting menu of unique potato dishes, a cooking class and a tasting of potato-inspired wines, a tasting menu of unique dishes made from Andean tubers, a cooking demonstration of Uchucuta, and a tasting of fermented beverages inspired by native potatoes and native tubers such as oca, olluco, and others.
