City Tour Lampa

Once installed in La Casona we start with the visit to the town. Leaving to the main square, the Santiago Apóstol Church receives us with its external tower that seems to observe everything that happens in the squares. After appreciating its stone construction with calicanto we enter the temple.

Inside the temple we find a set of paintings of the Cusqueña School inspired by the life of Christ and the life of Santiago Apostle. In the back (or in the back) of the church we appreciate the bedrooms of Santiago Apostle riding a dissected horse and the life-size representation of the Last Supper, apparently inspired by the work of Leonardo Da Vinci.

The next step is to go down to the catacombs of the church where the first American revolutionary entered and killed the Spaniards who hid there.

Finally, we enter La Piedad Chapel where we are surprised by a remarkable monument executed in Carrara marble presided over by the universal image of Michelangelo's Pieta.

After the church we will visit the municipality of Lampa, where is the replica of the Pieta by Michelangelo that was brought from the Vatican. We will know the history of why 2 Piedades in Lampa.

Finally, we will take a walk through the streets of Lampa appreciating its beautiful colonial architecture.
Duration: 01:30 hours.
